Another gathering for the buggy family. Brenham or Bust (BoB) is a go for October 6 - 8, 2017.

The "Host" Hotel is Holiday Inn Express at 2685 Schulte Blvd., Brenham, Tx., 77833. It is newly built as of the end of May, 2017. There have been 10 rooms blocked off for "Texas Dune Buggy Owners"; 6 rooms with a king bed at $128 per night, 1 ADA room with a king bed and roll in shower for $128 per night, 3 rooms with 2 queen beds for $137 per night. There will be an antique show the entire week before we get there and they leave on Sunday, so acquiring rooms was not easy. The block prices are good until September 15, 2017, so get your room soon. (I got the ADA room for Dave and Christy)

Saturday, October 7, 2017 - Free time to see the sights like a tourist or just relax.

Saturday, October 7, 2017 - Cruise to Home Sweet Farm for a “show & shine”
Leave Holiday Inn Express around 4 pm.
Food trucks will be present and a live band or two.

Sunday, October 8, 2017 - Morning cruise. East to Washington on the Brazos for a “show & shine” and history lesson.
Leave Holiday Inn Express around 9 am. About 58 miles.

Sunday, October 8, 2017 - Bakery, Deli, and Smokehouse in Chappell Hill. Farewell late lunch and early dinner.
Leave park about 3 pm.

Thanks for thinking of Christy regarding the ADA room. Really appreciate it.

Unfortunately, will will not be able to attend this year's BoB event. We will be traveling to Boston this weekend for Christy's annual amyloidosis check up. The appointments are scheduled a year out so we are not able to change our plans.

My wife and I would love to attend and will if our trip to Florida gets cancelled due to storm damage.
I think we should know something this week. I'm still chasing small problems with the new buggy so
I may drag it to Brenham. Just not sure I trust it on the highway that far yet. Not sure about the tires
either. They look good but don't know how old they are. Do most people drive
their buggies to the event or tow them?

Almost all of us carry them on/in trailers or tow them. Rarely does someone drive their Buggy to an event.

GREAT NEWS!!! If anyone is on the fence about joining us for BoB, they have extended our block reservation to September 22, 2017. There are 5 rooms left. Would really like to see y'all again for this inaugural event.

Tappa, just get a tow bar or trailer and bring it to BoB. The cruises are only about 60 miles on average and the camaraderie is second to none. We would love to meet you and check out your new ride.

Had a great time at Brenham or Bust. Unfortunately, Linda and I had to leave Sunday morning, but our Saturday cruise was some kind of nice: Smooth roads, beautiful country side and a break at the Independence General Store.

We had a blast! Thanks Scott for the wonderful cruise routes and places to stop. And, you picked a great hotel for us all to stay at.. we loved it! Super kudos to Bryan Porter. He jumped in his buggy, cruised to where he thought we might be, and met up with us briefly at the museum at Washington on the Brazos to say hello and give us a hopeful update on Anne. He hung out for a while with us looking at cool pioneer stuff, watched a movie at the museum, then headed back home to take care Anne and have a cold beer.. or something like that. Way to go Bryan!
