Johnny Bridges has a great looking blue buggy on a Hawkeye chassis. Automatic transmission, 1883cc motor, 4 wheel disc brakes and more. But Johnny felt the need for something just a little different. Now this was an "over-the-winter" project, yeah, right... Johnny and his band of helpers, including his great and patient wife, Loretta, JD and Linda Davis, Neil [Hawkeye] Decker, son Allen, Doug Hicks, Bobby at Texas Buggies as well as many other supporters were working feverishly to get this project done before the Classic in Fredericksburg. They made it...barely, and it looks great! Air ride suspension and all.
The Details 1883 motor (85.5 x 82), Edlebrock 650 carb mounted on Johnny's Fourplay manifold, 40x35 dual port heads, 3 speed automatic tranny (requires use of a stock cam due to vacuum & torque needs), Custom mufflers made from Harley dresser take offs, 15" American Eagle wheels 195/60R15 up front and 205/65R15 out back. The new Hawkeye Buggies "Hawk" body is painted with Kirkker Atomic Orange and White w/ Pearl. TPI gauges fill the dash, Custom BuggymanJohn steering column , Upholstery by Johnny and a local shop.
