Looks awesome, great job! Now for some upgrades unbolt that body and shove it off the pan into a ditch then bolt on a new long body... sorry couldn't help myself I'm just a little jealous, how nice it would be to have an all weather V-dub to play with.

first the paint.....

had to drill holes and slot them, you wont see the screws when it is done.
seats just laying in there....
headliner......custom tweed..MURZ SPECIAL
What do you with left over wrapping paper?? Make patterns for headliners of course!!!! With my baby girl at my side we whipped out the patterns and cut out the tweed.
Later my buddy Austin(aka SAINT) came by and together we pulled, fitted, and glued it in.
the windows go in next, followed by the ragtop. Almost drivable!!!

Got the seats ready to go. Stock VW seat frames cut down one inch and modified to fit the suspension seats. Just welded tubes at each end stuff with all thread couplers I welded in. Makes a nice clean setup. I also fabbed up some trim pieces out of ABS, heated them, bent to fit, and then wrapped them with tweed. Button head allen screws finish it out. details.............. Ahhh....no dirt for this BAJA

here is a blast from the past........... just finished it last night!
Some ideas never die........... Just got to blast it and paint it....... The cool thing about this exhaust is everything is flanged, so if I want a stinger one day just bolt it on!!! Different muffler...just weld a flange!!! I think the brushed aluminum silencer goes with the street racer theme of the car too!!

The hawaiian look was gonna be "too much" with the idea I have for carb induction. It will be cool as heck...wait til you see it!! A1 is first quality, but not sure how it would look on a buggy????

As we discussed a couple of nights ago, and looking back over your thread, it appears you had wide five hubs redrilled for Chevy patterns. My front drums are not flat like yours, mine are dished and would prevent my wheel from fitting up tight.
Are you running a link pin? If so, what are these drums off of?

Cory, the front are disc brakes for a BJ beam. The rears are four lug drums drilled for the chevy pattern. The rear drums should be no problem to get for your car, but the fronts I am not sure.....
your dilemma is getting a BJ four lug drum on a link pin beam. May have to research that more.......

I may come to some shows if my schedule allows. I am in Texas every other week now, but it could be anywhere....Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, San Angelo......just depends. If the schedule coincides with a show...I am there. Now for toting cars around the vast state of TEXAS.....doubtful.
