Hello chris. Chassis looks good! I'm new to this forum and I would like to become a member of the texas manx club. Yes, I'm also addicted! Ha! Ha! Me and my dad had 5 buggies between us back in the early 80's (4 rails And one manx clone). Anyway, I bought a buggy in July of this year. I found it on craigslist And drove to San Antonio and picked it up complete with hard top. Gave $1000 for it. My goal....get it repainted, engine rebuilt and rewired before the buggy roundup in Boerne. well I could see it wasn't going to be ready. So I bought another one (one I had try to buy before I bought the one in San antonio). I bought it for $500 less than my original offer! He just wanted it gone. It runs and just needed a little paint on the engine and a little tweaking on the wiring. I pulled the motor and started painting.....thinking I could still make boerne! Well...that Wednesday before Boerne I fell off a roof (I own my own roofing company), and I broke my right leg (compound fracture). Spent the next seven days in the hospital. I was very dissappointed. I couldn't wait to see the pics of Boerne. Looks like ya'll had a great turnout! Anyway, both of my buggies are on hold for now as I go back in the hospital on Tuesday (9-25-07) so they can put plates and pins in my leg. After I recuperate I will send some pics of my buggies! The first one I bought I had painted bright red (my girlfriends favorite color). It's painted and looks awsome!! I'm waiting on a friend to finish building the engine (1776)! Hopefully I will have it in a couple of weeks. The 2nd one is white with blue and red stripes and a 53 on the hood. I't looks like Herbie! Ha! Well, i've gotta go for now. I love this web site and looking at all the buggies! I hope to make Fredericksburg and Salado next year!
