With mixed emotions...

Postby Vee Dub Nut » 28 Sun Sep, 2008 4:33 pm

We finally sold the buggy today..

A lot of mixed emotions for sure.. sad that we are not going to be able to see the buggy through to the end, but still good in many ways. The guy who bought it is super cool, and has the same ideas that I had to finish it off. Its nice to know that someone is going to finish it, in my opinion, the right way. Now we can focus on the purchase of our first house next year, and starting a family soon there after..

Anyways.. here are a few parting pictures.

We'll still be hanging around with the group, if ya'll will let us tag along in the Beetle. Were still planning on building a long wheelbase buggy in a couple of years, so I'll be keeping my eyes out to collect bits and pieces.

Just wanted to pass along the news.. I told Chris, the new owner, about the site, so he may be stopping in for info along the way.

I understand what you are feeling. I have posted the very same photos of my first Buggy. I sold mine in preparation of moving from San Antonio to Albuquerque. I regret it more then I ever thought I would have. I would be just about done by now had I kept moving forward with it. I guess that is one side of that coin. If I hadn't sold the first one I wouldn't have the one I have now and I like this one a lot better then the first.

Only thing is....with this crappy economy who knows when I will show progress much less finish it.

Man that bites, but I understand the priorities of getting into a house & rasing a family. We just bought our fist house, what a pain in the neck! I still don't have mine in the garage yet, still sitting in storage 150 miles away. In the long run I think you'll be happy with a long body once you've got a bebe to lug around.
Still haven't figured out how or if it will be safe to put a car seat in the back of mine when I get road worthy.
