Mini Turn Signals

Postby CoryN » 21 Tue Apr, 2009 1:56 pm

For those of you running the little mini turn signals up front. Are you using them solely as turn signals, or are you using them as marker lights as well?

Cory, If your asking about the small turn signals like I'm running they are dual element and I am using them for both turn signals & running lights.
There is a smaller version and I'm not sure if there duel element, if you need to know Ive got one of the smaller ones I can go check it out.

Here's a pic of the ones on my buggy

Those are the kind I'm talking about. I didn't know if they were single or dual element.

Where are y'all getting them at? I've seen them online like at mooreparts etc. are they available locally too? Like at autozone or something?

Thanks

Got mine from Buggy Warehouse but most any vw parts shop will have em.
If ya use the mini's they will only have two wires one for the turn signal and one for running lights they are grounded through the housing. (I had to learn that the hard way)

Cory, I used dual element motorcycle turn signals. They are extremely bright. They only come on when I turn on the parking lights or when I turn. The mount is the ground.
Hey, I enjoyed meeting you in Fredericksburg. See you in Salado? :)
