master cylinder

Postby Rick » 18 Mon May, 2009 10:58 am

I put in my new master cylinder a few days ago and now it's leaking fluid as fast as you pour it in. It's leaking around the two rubbers in the cylinder that go to the resivoir. Any clues on how to stop it? The rubbers that go into the master cylinder don't tighten up they just turn and turn.

Rick. See if you can score a reservoir for a Volvo 240. It sets right on top of the master cylinder. I have this set up on my Manx 2 buggy. No leaks.
Usually, someone has one around or check eBay, dune buggy archives or volkswebbin.
Manx 2 that's really buggin' me and I love it.

Thats the Volvo reservoir that balbright mentioned.. looks just like it. I picked up a couple at the local pick-n-pull last time I was there.
