Purple Buggies?? Who has pics?

Postby BrianB » 13 Mon Jul, 2009 4:24 pm

OK here is my plan for paint. I have wanted a Buggy since about 1973 when I saw the Disney Movie "Now you see him now you dont". Well I'm thinking that I want it purple which is a good early seventies color. Metal flake? more than likely. Just wondering what's out there so I dont tread on someones purple people eater toes  Post up some pics or you can email them if you like.

My first dune buggy was purple but it is long gone. I don't know what you are going to use for seats but you can get the high back poly seats with a purple insert. The color is a very nice purple for a dune buggy. If you are going to use that kind of seat, check them out. It would be a lot easier to match the paint to the seat than vice-versa. Just a thought.

The one i am finishing is deep black with ultraviolet candy purple. The seats are black tweed with bright purple 5 point harness. Lots of candy purple powder coating. Send me youre e-mail and I can send you some pics. I just bolted the body and cage in and it looks sharp!

Yep Niftee Fiftee's. I go occasionally. I almost went this weekend but other plans won out. I'll holler at ya when I decide to go up. BTW that is one heck of a car you have there. I can only dream of coming half way that close to a perfect Buggy 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

If you set Bryan's car as the stadard for what you would want, you won't go wrong.
I've always thought his car was AWESOME.

Hard to tell. But almost everything not painted or plated is candy purple powdercoating. The paint is Black with ultraviolet purple pearl.
