Canadian river, just 20 miles north of Amarillo open to all ohv vehicles, it is the only closest place to me that I know of that allows me to take the rail with few restrictions.

I have to agree here... This is where those of us up in the Panhandle play with our off road toys... 8-)
Thanks Joe

I've not checked it out personally, but I bet there's going to be something in Big Bend National Park similar to the area around Lone Pine/Saline Valley.
Big Bend is southwest Texas, south and east of El Paso.

Now that's what I'm talking about!!! Thanks!!!
I don't know when, but "someday", I'm going there to check it out!!!
There may only be a bit less than 200 miles of off-road trails, but it would be fantastic!!! Awesome scenery!!!

I've been to Big Bend and it's awesome. Not only is the offroading 2nd to none, when youre through with that there is a nice paved ride along the Rio Grande to Terlingua Ghost town and La Kiva!!! The whole area is fun, Spring is best cause it gets pretty hot in the summer- What am I saying- Buggy people are tough!!
One step forward, Two steps back!!
