New Southern Dune Buggy Club website...

Postby wunderbrah » 15 Sun Jan, 2012 2:56 pm

Hi everybody. I hope you all had a great Christmas and new year out there on the other side of the pond. We had a suprisingly mild one here in England, when I say mild, I mean no snow just the usual damp, rain, wind, mist and murk. God only knows why we're stupid enough to drive around in roofless fibreglass cars, well a few have us have invested in hoods :D We've all been busy working on our buggies, while making sacrificial offerings to the sun god Ra, trying to get us a bit of sunshine for the summer. Anyway, we just relaunched our new Southern Dune Buggy Club website http://www.sdbc.co.uk The site is intended to become a sort of online library of buggy technical knowledge, funny stories, show reports, an online maagzine if you will. The site should evolve into I don't know what. It'll be exciting to see what happens. We like to keep an eye on what's happening buggy wise in the state, there are so many beautiful buggies over there, and some great ideas which we like to steal everyso often ;-) If anybody would like to contribute please drop me a message.
All the best,

Tony Rogers

Send your partners to this site and post up! That way we could get some action around here  I think this place is ready to lay down and sleep. Glad you could join us on here. Why not join us at the Buggy Blast in May or the Round Up at the beginning of September.

I'd love to come to the Buggy Blast but me and my mates would have to fit water wings to our buggies to get them across the Atlantic  Have a look at our forum http://www.beachbuggy.org.uk/ it's pretty lively, a good friendly forum (not trying to steal you guys away from this one but it's worth a peek) I know a few of our guys come on here sometimes. Most of our buggies are street buggies as we don't have anything like the dunes you have over there. I spent some time at Yuma last year with the military, those dunes, heaven for buggies. We just have concrete and turf to churn up...

From what I see, you guys across the Pond have some pretty nice rides yourselves. I'm looking forward to seeing more Buggy photos on the website.
