We got our buggy back from Neil but it was in pieces. He got it out of the weeds. Here are some pictures.

Really sorry to hear Joe. Was he just not able to get time to work on it within your agreed time?
We all know that life has a way of throwing wrenches at any of us, I'm sure we all wish no will ill.

I see a couple chassis frames in the pictures, are one of those yours? I don't see one in the trailer, so I'm guessing not. :(
I hope you at least got what you paid for, if you had to put any money out.

So what are the plans for the build now?

Hey Joe...I know we do not know each other, but I have a daughter in school at Texas A&M and I do not mind dropping the wife off for a visit with her at school and continuing over there to help you get that thing put back together. It looks like Iola is not far from College Station. I am sorry that happened to you, but I would be glad to come out there some time to help you.

Maybe one of those extra chassis belongs to the winner of the free chassis raffled at the buggy blast a few years back.... :(

In the last pic it looks like the body is sitting in a tube chassis on the trailer. Still sux if that's all he got for 5k.

Hey Joe, Its going to be a couple more months till my shop is ready for a project but Id be willing to build out your chassis etc. Can't do any of the body work or paint at this time as my paint & body equipment burned in the fire we had at the other shop.

Did this used to be the red and yellow one I've seen you in at a couple of the get togethers or is this another you had him building? Whats the back story on Neil? Still doing business, retired, ill?
Looks like there should be a November get together in Iola to gang bang a build. I'll bring the beer and paint.

To all of those who have offered to help rebuild our dune buggy, thank you for your offers. It means a lot to us ,your kindness. After a lot of discussion and thought we have decided to not rebuild it. We are offering it up for sale. We are offering it for $2,000.00 or best offer. Thank you all for all your concern. We look forward to seeing all of you at the blast.
