Our very own Cindy Matteson was recently honored by receiving the "Heroes for Children Award".
She was one of Only Fifteen recipients in the State of Texas.
Kudos to you Cyndi.

Yes she was!
The State Board of Education divides the state into 15 educational regions. Out of the tens of thousands of public school volunteers in each region, the state selects one from each region per year as the State of Texas Heroes for Children, based on their volunteering activities. She received the honor in Austin, got a certificate signed by the Governor, and has a permanent plaque in the William B. Travis Building on Congress Ave. Great job! Stayin' busy all the time.
