Willow City Loop

Postby Bill K » 19 Thu Apr, 2007 9:12 am

I'm leaving for the VW Classic in Fredricksburg tomorrow.
Has anyone driven the Willow City Loop outside of Fredricksburg?
I'd like to know a little more about it, such as road surfaces, etc.

driven it several times. Incredible views, especially when the bluebonnets are out. VERY much worth the drive. Rod is typical Texas backgroad. paved, not the greatest. Your buggy should be fine, no gravel sections as I remember. I think they took the loop as the Saturday cruise a couple of years ago.

Refresh my memory, Which cruise was it. Was it the one that went through the cattle ranches north of town? We are leaving about 4:00 today. See y'all there.

After looking at the maps, I do remember that cruise. It was a great drive. Big high bluffs and canyons. Bill, we will drive it with y'all. What time are y'all coming in Friday?

We are meeting up with Tom Colello and his wife from Louisiana in Sealy about 1:00 PM. So I expect we will get into Comfort sometime in the early evening.

I had been thinking about taking a cruise out there in lieu of the Saturday evening Classic cruise.

How about getting me your cell phone numbers so if we can get something going I can get in touch with anyone that would like to go.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm really looking forward to this show, and getting to see some old friends, and making some new ones.

Hey everyone, please don't think I'm trying to interfer with the Classic's cruise in any way, nor do I want to keep anyone from taking their cruise.
It's just an idea I had for something I was thinking of doing.
Anyone is welcome is if we can get something together.

Any cruise I may go on will probably be boring without some dude in a fine black buggy going through the gears in front of me.
