The windshield frame is made of "extruded" aluminum.
Bruce Meyers made the early ones out aluminum shower door frame material, which was extruded aluminum too.
Most Meyers Manx rollbars were made of 2" o.d. X .125" wall steel tubing. Apparently some were made that used a thinner wall tubing.
Most were painted, but some were chromed.
The stainless steel rollbars didn't come along until much latter.
Some folks don't like the "S.S." rollbars, as they have a thinner wall thickness due to the denseness/heaviness of "S.S."!
Most "S.S." rollbars came with a brushed finish, though many folks have had them polished.
Good "S.S." doesn't rust, though I've seen "cheap SS" from Korea & China that actually rusted "out in the weather" & it had enough carbon steel in it a small magnet would actually stick to it too!
