Farons got a new one!

Postby Faron » 01 Thu May, 2008 11:47 pm

Check it out! I found a Dune Buggy today!!! Actually it works out great for both myself and a really good friend of mine! My buddy from High School has a Buggy in his garage that the chassis is for the most part trashed. Anyway, he will use his for a Off-Road non-titled Buggy. I on the other hand will do everything I can to make mine street legal. The Buggy that we bought does not have a title, so it works out good for the both of us.
I guess you could say I am going to revisit the Goodbye to my old Buggy with the Big Butt....

might go through the dune buggy archives site and be able to identify it. Glad you were able to find one.

Well to be perfectly honest with everyone I had not purchased it yet. It has been sitting in my friends shop since I first showed these photos. But I will be buying it from my buddy and putting it in my garage on Sunday. I will post good photos as soon as I can.
The biggest problem that I see...Is the fact that I do not have a title for the Buggy and I plan to make a lowered Street Buggy. I know I work in a dealership but not many Buggies roll through our BMW/MINI Dealership. But here in Albuquerque our Motorcycle Cops ride BMW Motorcycles. So perhaps I should stop one and ask questions when they bring a motorcycle in for service.
:D

The pics are backwards..the first thing I said was "OH MY GAWD! HE'S DRIVING TOO CLOSE TO THAT VAN!!!"

On the third pic I can see it was in-tow :P

(well, that and if you keep staring, you see no one in the buggy is driving)
you must have pride....in your ride....
