Back In The Fold

Postby Bill K » 11 Sat Aug, 2007 1:51 pm

Murzi's car is back with us. Rick Lyon, a new member of our Club, has bought Murzi's buggy, and is bringing it to Houston. We were able to track the car to northern Alabama. The current owner was interested in selling, and Rick was able to negotiate a deal to buy it.
It's great to have this car back in the Club, and for a car of that calibre to be in the hands of a quality owner like Rick .

I know Rick will enjoy it as much as I would have. I built it to be my forever car and no shortcuts were taken. I hope as he sits in it alone in his garage late at night, lips making making motor noises, (what??? you know you have done that ) , that he will see all the little details in the car that speak passion for the hobby.

Enjoy it buddy!!!! Look forward to seeing it again one day soon. Do a burn out for me will ya

The Search is Over...

Got home late last night with "Tater Tot"...LOL...

Many Thanks to Super Members Bill Knesek and Mike Murzi for their guidance and help in locating me a really nice buggy. It finally sunk in that I didn't have time to build one from scratch so after going on a wild goose chase up in AR to look at a car, Bill put the plan in motion to find Mike's car for me...I didn't know he was doing that until a few days later he had tracked it down over in GA...I went over last weekend to look at it and made an offer...Then the dance started and we finally got down to an acceptable deal and I went and got it this weekend...What a Nice Car...You're Right, Mike, the attention to detail on that car is unbelieveable. I'm really proud to own it and I promise to take good care of it... How did you know I was making those little motor sounds in the garage late last night..??? :D

Trying to get it ready for TX inspection and then get it titled...The short term goal is to be in Boerne, TX On Labor Day weekend with the car...Good Lord Willin', we'll make it...

Thanks Again for the help, Bill/Mike...Took my wife Pat on a little ride last night and she screamed  when I nailed it in 2nd gear and wound it up a little bit...Finally got that right eyebrow down, though... 8-) 8-) 8-)

I'm sure this will be a Great and Rewarding Experience, plus a Bunch of Fun...Looking Forward to meeting you guys in the near future...

Life Is Good..!!!

Later...

Rick
