Fiberglass Supplies - DFW

Postby CoryN » 05 Tue Feb, 2008 9:19 am

For those of you in the DFW area, where do you go locally to get your fiberglass supplies? Or do you mail order?

I'm going to need to do some repairs, fix some tail modifications that the PO made to accomodate something on the motor, rebuild the battery box and fix one of the front fenders.

Thanks

When I was getting fiberglass, I'd got up to on eof the boat dealers near Lake Dallas. The service dept. looks at you funny but most will talk to you. Also noticed a fiberglass repair place on the north sideof 121 just west of the Colony, they may be worth checking out. Don't remember theur name though.

I think that might be Pier 121 that you are thinking of at the Colony.

You can get resin and cloth at your local WalMart or PepBoys

I just ordered about 15 yards of cloth and mat from:

The service was prompt and the materials are the larger roll goods unlike the small patch kits sold at the various stores.

And no it was not all for the buggy I recovering my wife's surf board hence the need for the roll goods.
