Project Time

Postby CoryN » 14 Fri Mar, 2008 8:37 am

Time to kick start this buggy project. :D

The Mrs. and my two boys are going to visit Grandma/Grandpa for Spring Break. So first thing tomorrow I'm starting with a total disassembly. I'm going to tear the pan down and weld up some new floorboards and clean it up and paint it.

Likewise with all the suspension parts. Then new bearings/bushings/seals all around, new brake components all around. Clean and paint the tranny and reinstall.

The goal is to have the pan done by the time they return so all the dirty work is behind me.

I'd like to have it running by Buggy Blast, but I think that is probably a little optimistic for my first ever build.

Sounds like fun, I'm jealous. Hope you'll come to Buggy Blast even if you aren't finished, you'll be glad you did. Last year at the Boerne cruise someone brought their project on a trailer.

Kind of what I'm thinking. If I can get it back to a rolling project by then, which should be feasible, I'll do that.
