how much to cut

Postby Rick » 24 Sun Aug, 2008 2:11 pm

Hi All

Another newbee. I just aquired a basket case and am ready to start reconsturtive surgery. The body is a California Clipper the pan and trans are 68 the engine is a 71. When I square the body to the pan and line up the front I have 15 1/2 inch on one side and 15 1/4 on the other. I'm thinking 15 3/8 the pull the body to fit. Any suggestion would be apprecitated. I am working up the nerve to make the first cut and get into this thing up to my eyeballs. The wifey tells me I need another project to fill the empty void now that I have built and am flying my plane.

Welcome to the Club, Rick. You are lucky to come in right behind Adam and Cory. Both are doing some really nice work on their buggy builds. Likwise, you will find the group of folks in this Club to be some of the nicest and most helpful you'll ever hope to run across.
So, get building, you are in the right place, but you have to keep the photos coming. :D
