well I got a fabricator here in Oklahoma finally to build my cage but what about diameter. Does 1-3/4" sound right?

I think mine was 1.5" made by Neil at Hawkeye.

What does the pair that extends out the rear attach to? Just the glass or is there something its tying into on the other side as well?

Just the glass...although I use a backing plate. I consider this a "show" cage and not one for off road use.

Tied mine into the chassis at the front

and at the rear

My old buggy the Orange one was tied into the chassis in the rear (Hawkeye built this chassis)
