I just read that my friend Dave "Big" Deal has passed away. I first met Dave when we started this club years ago. Over the years I got to know Dave and thought the world of him.
Many of you will know Dave from the cool great drawings that have appeared from the begining in Dune Buggies and Hot VWs magazine cartoons, as well as early Manx ads............some of the best drawing works I ever saw. He also was the creator of the "cars characters in the cartoon movie cars.
Just two years ago I ordered one of Dave Artistic prints which features Quatro and signed by Bruce Meyers and Dave "Big" Deal - I will always treasure it and it hangs on my wall with pride.
My thoughts go out to his family, and you will not be forgoten
