I guess you are still working on the Avenger? When do you plan on starting the Buggy project?

Still stuck on the Avenger. Just got the power window set up working so that was a major hurdle. The main body is coming off this weekend hopefully so I can refurbish the chassis. After that significant body work and my hope is to get it painted this summer. Maybe finish it by fall (OK...maybe the winter) and then bring the Deserter in.

I have picked up alot of neat stuff for the Deserter (seats, wheels, motor, exhaust, tilt column, gauges) so it is really calling me!

It runs good ('73-1600 dual port) but needs some work to get it street legal. No 3rd gear, needs some electrical repairs & has a little rust in the floorpans & shock towers.

Seabee...
"moved close to Texas, huh?
Don't you know that close only counts in horseshoes?

Just kidding, welcome to the site. Being in Clovis, you may actually find some off road places. Seems most of Texas is private land except around Big Bend.
I think they have something going around Amarillo, not too far from Clovis.

The club has the RoundUp down in the Hill Country over Labor Day. We do some back road (paved) cruising and just hang out. Maybe you can make it out to that.

Great to hear from you.

There is nothing around me. Yes there is a place in Amarillo. I was there 2 weeks ago. I would like to go to a show. It is a bit of a drive. My car is geared for sand.
