Picked up a trailer for the buggy today.

Found this on Craigslist and for the price, I had to go see. Well, this is one solid trailer and my 4 seat rail should fit just nicely. Of course, there are some things that I want to change but isnt that the way with it all.

Its 11 feet from ramp to front stop and 6.5 feet between the wheelwells.Oh,did I mention that I got it for $325!!! Tows straight and easy empty at 70 mph.

I saw that on C'list and wondered how it would pull. What is the tongue weight? Is it balanced pretty good with the Buggy on it? Good score.

I dont know what the tongue weight is, there arent any markings on it. At first sight I thought it was a homemade trailer but after getting it home andn looking at it, it looks like it was originally built as a T trailer and someone added the rest of the runners to the front. They didnt go cheap, its got some steel in it. I havent pulled it with the buggy on it yet, only got it home Saturday and have been helping a neighbor finish up some home projects. I only got as far as pulling it up on to see what I needed to change.

I am going to knock off those added wheel stops on the front and get about 4 to 6 more inches forward on the trailer.

Nice find. As far as the front stops go why not cut them off and reweld them on the top of the front rail at an angle. You'll gain the same 4-6" and have the added security of the front stops as well. You can also cut slots in the top of the stop for "over the wheel" tie down.

Thats pretty much what I have decided to do. I am thinking of welding in D-rings behind the front wheels and have a ratchet strap(a strong one) on each front wheel.

Isn't that the one that was in quinlan??? I drive through there every day. I could have looked at it for you. It looks like a perfect fit. I've got one like it. You will be surprised at how good it pulls with a buggy on it.
