Show me your trailers!!!!

After some shopping for a suitable trailer for my car, I have decided to fab up one myself. I have an idea of how I am going to build it but wanted to see what you guys already have. Maybe with some pics I can get more ideas. Any words of wisdom? What would you do if you were going to have one built???

First off, it tows great, is light, the Manx fits on it perfectly and Hawkeye built it to my specs (he even painted it green...his favorite color...right Hawk? ).
What I would change. I would lose the unsprung axle and put springs on it. I would add a floor. Those 2 things would make it useable as a utility trailer. As it is now it tows the buggy. I really do like this trailer, hardly know it and the buggy are behind the Trailblazer at 70 mph. Thought I'd add one picture. Check the link above for more

Here is a pic of our buggy on our trailer. The tires fit into a channel on each side to help keep it from moving around. I use a couple of 2x12's for ramps with 'L' stock bolted on as hooks to keep them from sliding off when I am loading.

This is our trailer in which will be pulling the Manxter but this is also the trailer that was used to bring our 61 Chrysler home too. Don't have any photos of any other car on it except for the Half Vee.

WOW, All I use is a 16 foot flat bed trailer. HaHaHa Mine is nothing more then a work trailer.

Well the one that the New Yorker is sitting on I forgot was the one we used to bring our Karmann Ghia, Kit Car home and it's made out of Aluminum. It's very light and it does have it's own breaking system on it.

There is a name plate on it so when I go back out to the land I'll take a look at the name. As you can see it won't rust but the hubcaps do rust. I've lost some of them on the road and waiting for more to fly off when we go some place. Thought about placing some rims on it but then again it's just a trailer to haul stuff on.

I purchased it, but it is a home built (Got it for $250.00 with registration on

and put an additional $250.00 into it to get it in usable shape). It's steel, but being a single axle helps keep the weight down (no, I don't know the weight). It has leaf springs on the axle, and I believe 14" tires. Handles the buggy just fine, and tracks very well. 1000 mile trips no problem. No trailer brakes though (now required in Calif on new trailers). Just wish it had a bit more space up front for storage (the spare 31" paddle tires barely fit up there). Just something to keep in mind. I will go out and take some more pics of it today along with some measurements, and post them. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Here are a couple of pics with dimensions on them. The front part of the trailer is made of 1 1/4" x 4" x 3/16" 'C'-channel steel. The back portion is just 15" wide steel channel that will fit regular sized tires. The axle rides on small leaf springs, and the tires are 13" bias ply. Not sure what the weight rating is, but a buggy is no problem. You can see the 2 x 12 lumber ramps I use laying in the trailer.
