Cory,
You sure you're OK?
Is an "intervention" in order?
Remember, it was your motor that seized...not the body.
So what gives? More on the story please.

Relax. The fenders are back on the buggy now, just not necessarily in the same place they were previously.

Bryan made the suggestion at the classic, and I happened to have a slow weekend so what the heck.

As for the manual tool, it was only used to finish up the corners, power assist was used elsewhere

Little progress today. Now I can see the pinholes etc that I need to deal with. If I did it right, no one will realize I did anything but change out the taillights a la Christopher.

Actually that is quite deceiving. Its a pigment that I'll mix with clear over a black basecoat. It won't look anything like that color when its done.

My gun started acting up midway, so I have some orange peel to deal with, but near as I can tell the body is straight. I haven't seen any ripples or anything needing attention yet. I'll know more after I wet sand it.

looking good Cory!!!

Was that the motor from Tommie's garage? I helped load it into the back of Michael's pickup... that poor thing looked like it was having a very bad day! (the truck, not the motor)

Did you take photos of how you went about adding the fiberglass in the fenders? Also did you do both the front and back? I think this would be a great teaching tool for the rest of us, seeing just how good a work you do. ohh by the way please.....

Faron

I'm no role model. I may achieve acceptable results, but I highly doubt I do it the correct way. I don't want anyone using me as an example.

I documented my first build in excruciating detail, something I regret now, in fact I would delete my build thread if I could.

That being said, I do have quite a few pictures on facebook if you want to connect with me there.

I am sorry but I have to ask why you regret posting up your build? Because you did that it may have given others the confidence to go above and beyond what I would have done. Myself included. Thanks again!

yes and no.

It runs, I backed it out of the garage, drove it on the trailer, pulled it off the trailer and drove it into the Cedar Hill Show, drove it out of the show and back on the trailer and off the trailer and back in the garage.

It only has enough wires to get it to run, and it doesn't have the breather box hooked back up yet, so I didn't run it any more than I had to, to keep it from spewing oil all over everything.
