Is this to strange?

Postby Faron » 14 Mon Nov, 2011 12:17 am

Not to long ago I posted that I was looking for a shop that will work on my Dune Buggy in the General/Chat area of the Samba
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=487455
I was asking if there was a local VW Shop that anyone recommended. I got a PM from a guy who has a cool idea. He sent me a PM and offered to help...for a fee of course. I really think this is what I am looking for. Has anyone ever had someone help them like this?

I am going to have lunch with him sometime next week to see if we are on the same page. For some reason I am cool with this but it is not the norm, anyone have a opinion?

Looks like your ticket to the VW Classic in April has just been approved then. :D Let us know how it works out for you.

It just seems a little out there, but it may work. I look forward to having lunch with him to talking about everything.

Ask him for some referances to check on and see how his work stands up.

I was talking to my wife today and she is worried about bringing this guy to our house. Her thoughts are... We will be here for hours, what if he needs to use the restroom or wants a drink of water. She says that she would be worried about letting him in the house.

You sold your Dune Buggy about 6 months to soon. I didn't have the $$$ when you got in touch with me. Do you have a toy now?

Not to many people have Dune Buggies here, well not in the local club at least. In fact the club is not very active! I am far from shy..... but the club does not do much unfortunately. For the most part they get together to eat once a month but thats about it. They were having a meeting at a restaurant close to where I worked a few months back, and for the most part people had Buses. That is why I want to bring mine to the Classic for its first show! I just do'nt get it! LOL Ohh well, perhaps me doing all sorts of posting will get things going!
