Front beam question?

Postby Faron » 07 Tue Feb, 2012 6:07 pm

I bought a Billet Aluminum front beam for my buggy, and just noticed that I do not have a place to bolt the steering dampener to. I was thinking about a clamp that works just like the clamps people use to install the grab bars or side view mirrors to their roll-bar. Aside from taking it into get a piece welded on, does anyone have a better idea?

I was told that if I do not have it, I "could" get bump steer? Is it so rare that it will not be a problem?

I don't run one and I don't have any problems.

The front end is so light in these things that you'll have things bumping your steering all the time. I dont have front shocks or stabilizer bar and it drives fine.
