FIA Stripes

Postby CoryN » 28 Tue Feb, 2012 3:17 pm

I'm thinking of adding some FIA stripes to the front fender - just for kicks

I know its somewhat accepted to use the colors of the nationality of the driver as opposed to the nationality of the car. Plus the fact that the dune buggy is an American creation, even though it uses German parts

So would it be faux pas to use a pair of red hash marks like the Cobra's and Corvettes?

Go for it. I was going to do the opposite next winter when my car changes to red. Yours will look great with them. Why not try some painters tape first and see how you like them?

You know there has been a roll f red duct tape laying in the street around the corner all week. I've thought the same thing.

I would go to a sign shop and get a piece of vinyl from them. You could have them cut it down to size, shape, and color that you want. With that small of an amount I would guess that it should be arount $10. to $20.

I like the duct tape idea  When you take it off you'll have two stripes that are primer color

I saw a newer Dodge Challenger with the Red stripes just this morning - looked good.

Here is a link to a decal shop that sells them as decals: http://www.decalshoppe.com/inc/sdetail/30054

I know that they make low tack vinyl, you may want to ask the shop if you go that route.
