Brake lock

The previous owner tells me he had problems with the Jamar brake lock valve not releasing. Had to bleed pressure before it would release. Upon researching on the web, this seems to be a pretty common occurrence with these valves. Has anyone added a bypass valve to equalize pressure around the lock valve? I won't use the lock now for fear of it not releasing.

Don't know of too many folks that use a brake lock. They aren't legal for use as a parking brake as far as an inspections goes. And like you say about yours...they stick.
