Warton Fredom Fest

Postby starrfisherman » 01 Sun Jul, 2012 10:53 am

Went to the Warton Freedom Fest car show yesterday. Met Bill there as he was passing out flyers for their Wallis car show in October. He did not bring out his buggy because he said it was dirty and he did not have time to clean it up. I drove my buggy over and my wife dorve our 48 Ford. I am proud to say that I won First place it the 1960's class. I was competing against Mustangs, Cameros and the likes. What an honor to win this class in a Dune Buggy. I guess there are some people who appricate these fine cars.

The Wharton Freedom Fest is a nice show held at the end of June in Wharton, Texas. I was planning to enter but with the weather looking pretty bad I decided not to. I was there passing out fliers for a local show I help put on, the Wallis Fine Rides Autofest, which is held the first Saturday in October.
Lately a nice group of my Buggy Buds have been entering the Autofest and that has really made it even more enjoyable for me.
Here's a shot of the Autofest. It's held in Wallis, Texas and I'd like to invite any and all to come out and have a great time in October.
