Hope everyone made it through the rains?

It sure was needed around here. We ended up with less than 5 inches at the house, but several communities around Austin reported well over 10 inches over the couple days. Bastrop. Smithville, La Grange all got high volumes. I guess the fires in these areas are all out now.

Looked like DFW area was almost none stop for days?

How'd you in Houston and other areas fair?

Rosenberg is just on the outskirts of Houston and we got about 6". But, it was slow and steady which was great. It sure sounded great on the patio cover.

Well, considering what I spent to "enjoy" the whole weekend experience that the Formula 1 offers I was a little disapointed that it rained for about 80% of it. At least the race itself was rain free and the race was an exciting one for a change, it was ok. The parking lots were a quagmire although the parking lot I was in was not too bad($$$). Leaving the track was a long ordeal. Anyway as a texas resident I understand the need for plenty of rain when we can get it.

I heard the championship was determined, because of points this weekend and the championship hadn't been determined at a US track in a number of years. Didn't hear how many years.

Not sure of our total rainfall amount but our rain gauge holds six inches and in was running over when we came home. We camped the weekend with some of the buggy crew. We must enjoying rv camping in the rain.....

We had just over 7" in Arlington. The only casualty was a planned Buggy Cruise on Saturday.

They reported on Houston news channels that Corsicana had 20" of rain...I think that was the most in the state.

Hello friends, we are all fine. Just a little muddy. Friday morning Wimberley got dumped on big time. A huge storm cell part on top of us and just SAT there all morning. We had been getting some rain during the week so the ground was already pretty wet. There was a two hour period Friday morning where Wimberley recorded just under 10 inches of rain.

We live in Canyon Lake about 30 about 30 minutes south of Wimberley. I've been told we got 11 inches here. We didn't have any damage, but a few of my neighbors did.
