Any type 1 tank will work just depends where you want the filler

Hi Buzz...You can purchase new from Appletree VW ( 1-800-433-2521) or (http://www.appletreeauto.com) for approx.$150.00 - plus gas cap, plus bottom stem or gas line fitting. I find these guys to be great, and have ordered a lot over the years. I know you are on the North side, but in Clearlake (boaters) most boat shops will fab you a custom or larger tank in aluminum or steel and internal coat.
