Getting ready

Postby staggerwing » 23 Sun Feb, 2020 10:07 am

Dang:
A pesky exhaust leak revealed a pulled stud over #2 cylinder back in late October. The case I was running already had case savers in it so the only fix was a new case, or case replacement, to remedy the problem. Found a guy in San Antonio to do the job and three months later we are back in business. Ran the first check ride a couple of days ago (yeah it was a little chilly) and realized how much we miss the buggy. Might do a little cruising around the area today as the temps are beginning to warm up a tad.

Cheers..

Thanks! Seems to run better than it did before? Gotta do something about these leaky chrome crappy valve covers though. Had some good seat-time yesterday, finally!

Okay
Fixed the leaky valve cover!
The weather has been really nice, so Sandy and I jumped in the car and took off on a check-ride with the new rebuild. It was borderline “romanic”! How’s that..
