I can't decide, they all look good..here's my problem:

Stock GR2 shocks. They're grey, and nothing in my project is that color! I need to change them.

here's the stock one..

BLACK, to accent the body and roll cage,



WHITE, to hide and blend in with the suspension, or



RED, to accent brake calipers, transmission, steering box, bushings, and master brake cylinder..




WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?? I want to do 'em this weekend.. do note that I used photoshop, and the colors are not exact, it's just for a visual aide...

It has been my experience that the crazier, wilder, more colorful cars are admired more at the car shows. Paint them PINK with FLAMES!!!

PS...You do know you need to cut(turn) those rotors before you use them?

I would paint them white since that is color of the front beam set-up..

Yea, I second JD go with white.
BTW I can appreciate your attention to detail, My dad is the worst drives me nuts but every thing he does comes out super nice.

shocks and sway bar red
what ever you chose is fine just be sure and do it on both ends
I like the white but feel its just too mutch white
if you break it down just a bit more with the sway bar it will be choice
the shocks are an add on to the beam assemb as it the stearing, urithane
and break calipers thats why I added the sway bar as well

Hm..I would paint the clamps, but to follow the flow, all nuts, bolts, and clamps would need to be painted

Sway bar's staying white, remember it's not paint, it's powdercoat, kinda pricey!

Yeah, I'm gonna turn 'em, or just go fast and slam on the brakes a few times! hahah

I used an enamel spray paint on the steering stabilizer, and wow, just about matches the white powdercoat... I think white for now.... OH!!!!

KYB has a new font for their label, and I guess the KYB logo in black, and the GR2 in black vinyl will help accent it a bit... I would have gone with the KYB gas adjust, which are already white, but they are a bit harsher of a ride...

I think that the white is good, but I wonder how you are going to get away with the red lenses on the front of the car.....since that is strickly forbiden by state law!

they're amber, just the way the pic came out.. no red or blue for meeeeeeeee

i like the red, I thank it breaks up the white that is just my two cents worth

as far as painting the bolts
it sure makes it nice when all the nuts are painted
or else they turn a great color of rust

Yeah, I hear ya.. I know if I paint them, they're gonna get scratched when torquing 'em though...

I think the only ones that are going to rust are the ones I used that came with VW stuff.. some of the items I purchased came with 'em.. guaranteed to rust..

the hardware that I supplied, i.e. frame bolts, seat bolts, etc.. is either Standard Grade 8 or Metric Grade 10.9, no if's ands or buts!
