Willow City Loop Cruise

Postby Bill K » 29 Sun Apr, 2007 10:28 pm

Saturday afternoon of the Classic weekend, David Head, Tom Colello, and I and the wives took a cruise on the Willow City Loop. Fortunately, the bluebonnets were still in full bloom, so it made a very scenic drive even better. It was an approximate 47 mi. round trip from downtown Fredricksburg.
This is a "must do" route if you haven't yet done it, and it is surely a "will repeat" for me.

Here are a few photos from the trip.

Wife and I did the Loop in a Corolla AFTER the show and it was a nice "first time experience" for us. Next time we go, it'll be in a yellow buggy! Thanks for the pics Bill. The photo with the three V Dubs in the foreground must have been at the point overlooking that sea of Bluebonnets down in the valley. Most I've ever seen....

You are right about the overlook, Richard. The bluebonnets were so thick and blue that they indeed looked like lakes down in the valley.
I want to be following you when you do the loop in your buggy. Sooner rather than later I hope.
