brakes and clutch

I got the bakes filled with fluid today but I'm not building any pressure and the car still rolls down hill a little (I can only assume I have a leak somewhere)

and the clutch seems to be a bit difficult to press in but when I adjust the nut looser at the clutch the pedal just moves back and forth and the cylinder doesnt'

any suggestions

Did you bench bleed the master cylinder? TSometimes they can have air trapped in them. Did you sucessfully bleed the sysem?

I'm not for sure that I did any of this car correctly

If you can, bench bleed the master cylinder. If not you may be OK, mine was (without bleeding it).
If you have drum brakes, and before bleeding, adjust them until they're tight against the drums , then back off a few clicks. Bleeding is a 2 person operation. Starting at the right rear (farthest from the MC( have the wifey pump the brake pedal then hold it down while you open the bleed screw, tighten and repeat ( pumping and opening bleeder) until you have no air bubbles. Then move to the left rear and repeat the process, then right front, then left front. Throughout this process it's VERY important to check the brake fluid level in the resevoir to make sure it doesn't get too low. It's a good idea to go around the car twice when doing this, always starting right rear.

Yes it is a 2 person job, took me awhile to get mine done, I could not get any brake pedeal after haveing my son pump for a couple hours while I kept bleeding only to find out that the master cylinder was bad, it was brand new out of the box from buggy warehouse, I sent it back got the new one put it on and low and behold after about 30 min of pumping and bleeding had real good brakes. Just goes to show you that just because it is new doesn't mean anything. Good luck.

Dude brakes are bad news at my house
I went thru almost a gallon of brake fluid before I realized my
calipers were on upside down
I feel once you get the system bled they will be hard as a rock
they realy are pretty mechanical and a small leak will only slightly cause the pedal to fall
if its mushy it has air in the system
as for the clutch are you using the mechanical cable or a hydrolic slave cylender
