softening ball joint front suspension

Postby garthom » 22 Tue Apr, 2008 10:39 pm

I have read several ways to soften front suspension. Which works? Removing leaves? Replacing leaves with 1/2 leaves? I already have adjusters on beam. Thanks, Gary

An easy...and free...option is trying to pre-load the tensioners seperately. Disconnect the upper joint, raise the trailing arm, then jack the suspension up and reconnect the ball joint. This results in running on your lower tube until such time you come to the extreme of the suspension travel. In effect making a progressive spring rate.
