What is the best way to make the rough sides at the the bottom of my buggy smooth? I was planning on taking Fiberglass Putty and spreading it and sanding it, but does anyone know of a better way to get this done? I am talking about the bottom sides that people cover with side pods, check out the photo!

That is not what I want! I want the rough sides smoothed out! I am guessing the best way to get this done is with $$$$$ I could take it to a guy my Dad is using to repaint his Monta Ray. He is doing a full repaint of OLD UGLY car Interior and everything. He fixed all the dents & rust for $2000. He normally works on boats, so he is no stranger to fiberglass.

This is a buggy with the FLAT side panels. My friend Tom's car is EXACTLY like this and they are smooooooooth. So there!!

I want some side pods but I don't have a manx, and I'm pretty sure they don't make them for a lobo.

OK I stand corrected, I am a big dummy head! All I noticed last time were the bubble side pods. As far as I can tell that is exactly what I want. You have seen them up close, are they right up against the body or they flared out. Thanks a bunch, this group is always so helpful!

Mike,
I don't know what the sides of a Lobo look like, but the way I'd suggest starting is by trying a set of Texas Buggies' pods and see if they can be modified to fit. Sure would be easier than starting from scratch.
We tried a set on my Berrien body and they fit real well.

compared to the berrien and the manx mine is extremely shapely like a fat woman.

it has nothing but curves where the manx and berrien seem to have a little more flat and square sides

The pods are flat. The back wraps around the back of the body. Check it out!!!!!

I want the bubble sides and I don't think they will work.

but I'll wait till I can see some up close and make a decision
