Any ideas on what we can put on the threads of the screws that hold the fuel sender in the top of the tank as gas is coming up through the threads.

Couldn't have built my car without JB Weld. :D
But, this may not be the application you would want it for.

IU would try a new sending unit gasket and hylomar (sp) sealant on the threads.
If at first you don't succeed, beat the pshaw out of the business partner, and then go at it alone! LOL!

fuel leak

Postby staggerwing » 25 Fri Jul, 2008 10:34 am

Okay.... found some fiber warshers and used some Permatex "High Performance" on the screw threads. Stuff said that it was good on fuel fittings, whatevere that means. Leak-check was good last night! Get er back together and on the road Saturday morning; I hope.

Thanks guys!
