Undercoating results

Postby Fred » 12 Thu Feb, 2009 7:50 am

Hello fellow buggy people, thanks for all the advice and experience. I think the most important lesson I can pass on about Herculiner is DONT GET IT ON YOUR SKIN !!! ( I know, you and the can told me so) After turpentine, gasoline, mineral spirits. Goo gone, and Goof off and oh Yea, Scotchbrite the results are in. Goo gone extreme will remove the stuff after rigorous scrubbing (Hours) Just wear the gloves! Anyhow here are pics of before and after if I've got this Photobucket thing Figured out. Check out thr redneck rotisserie! Imagered out Image

Fred,
Don't be afraid to use it all over the place. I would coat the beam, the shock towers the rear horns, etc etc.

IF it's still 'clean' you can grab clear coat (even in spray paint cans) and get a gloss effect that may help with the inevitable discoloration. (it would help if the clear has UV inhibitors to further protect it) :D
you must have pride....in your ride....
