Don't think they exist. I, too, looked at lazer star, I like the aftermarket billet Peterbuilt headlights. Dual 3.5" lights mounted in a billet oval enclosure with "J" pedestals. I am trying to communicate with the supplier for dimensions and weight (to ensure the install is feasible) prior to ordering.

Headlight shells are sold by a lot of people....trust me on this one.....they are all made by the same people. I have new sets in stock if you need and want them.

We gotta back the bus up here. I'm asst parts manager at Peterbilt of Joplin and we do have 7" stainless steel headlight buckets available with a top mounted led turn signal. We sell Hella, Grand General and United headlight units to go in the buckets. They look sorta like the headlights commonly found on 37 & 38 Chevy coups. They slightly tear-drop at the rear. The company that makes these is United Pacific Truck Accessories. You should be able to pull up United on their website. If you have trouble finding the units, post a reply and I'll look on the shelf. I have 4 in stock and they're about $125 each [ bulbs not included ]. They'll accept 7"sealed beams, Hella's, crystals, Sylvania Silver stars, etc. I'll post the part numbers.
I don't have them on my Manx 2 cause it had 4" KC Daylighter housings already mounted and I'm running the United Pacific crystals with 85/100 bulbs. Yup, super bright!!! But once I get my Sombrero top and the dual Webers, I'll have the 7" unit on it.
Manx 2 that's really buggin' me and I love it.

I was talking about the dune buggy headlight shells that are normally used by buggy people. That's all.....I say that as a parts business owner for Volkswagen parts.

Good company, Dave. I was basically replying to CoryN's post above. I remember the original Manx headlights were made by Dietz. Oh, Lordy, I just told how old I am. Oh, well. I'm old enough that my WD40 has rusted.
Catch ya later.

Balbright, I was talking about the Peterbilt 359 Style Dual Headlight - Polished. I really like the way they look, but I need to know the dimensions and weight before I drop 6-700 on lights :P

United Pacific headlights, part number 31696 [driver's side] and 31697 [passenger side], includes H4 crystal bulbs. Retro headlights for the 359 Pete's. Weight about 9 lbs, 14" width, 9 1/2" tall including the pedestal [7 3/4" body only] and 7" deep. Usually run around $350 each side. Of course, they never mounted right in the center. You would have to check you clearances to have them either over the fenders or hood.
I have to agree that they would sure make for a unique look, huh? And I see what they mean about turn signals.
These guys on this site are fantastic and have helped me a bunch. I never ever want to offend anyone. Sometimes, the way I word stuff doesn't come across the way I intend. I suck at computer stuff.

Yup!!.Been thinking, $350 for the Sombrero top, $600 for the dual webers, another $400 for disc brakes up front and $300 for the 7" headlights with the LED turn signals. I've also considered the new 1776 engine with the dual webers. That's 4 grand. Geeeeeeeez!!!!!!!!! Boys and our toys.
I like my 1641 motor, but it can use some more poop. I could just re-do mine, but I can get some good cash for it like it is.

Bob, I had 7" King Bee lights on my last car and they really put out the light. I used H4 sealed beam halogens and operated them with a relay for each light. No danger of heating up the headlight switch that way. By the way, they were less than $100. :)

Running dual relays is the only way to go. Let the relays handle the power and your "dimmer" switch just switches the relays.
I have 4" KC Daylighter housings on mine now with crystal buckets running 85/100 H4 bulbs, but buggies, to me, look the best running 7" housings. That's kinda the "old school" look that was out when Bruce Meyers started this buggy craze. That of course is JUST my opinion. I've seen duals, round, square, etc, all of which looked fantastic. But ya know, when you have that "look" yer goin' for, it's all just a substitute til ya get there. It's all just money. If I get broke, I'll hit Bill K up for a loan. He's the mayor of buggytown. [private joke]
See ya, later.
