Remote Oil Filter installation???

Postby DannyT » 10 Mon Aug, 2009 9:25 pm

If I were to get this set up, what would I need to do to install it correctly?

I am thinking that I would need to remove the stock oil cooler and put an aftermarket one inline between the filter and the cooler adapter. Would I have to do anything to the oil pump end or do I just have to swap out the covers?

Nothing like the factory cooling setup. I dont think there is a good place to mount the cooler on the buggy without it sticking out like a sore thumb. Why not go with a Berg Porsche fan?$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Hello, That pic is of 2 diff types of systems, Don't use them together. You will also need a cooler with fan and there should be room under the back seat.

Thanks guys, should have clarified.....this is a thought for my rail, not the wifes glass buggy. I am just looking at a remote filter setup, cant use the all in one setup, I have a bar in the way. And thought the remote cooler would help a little in the blistering heat around here.
