Fuel Pump Push Rod

Postby Bill K » 27 Sun Dec, 2009 1:52 pm

I think I am correct in this, and please correct me if I'm not, but aren't there two pushrods for manual fuel pumps: a short and a long? Does anyone know what the length of each is, and what determines when you use either?

4.25" for use with a generator.
4.00" for use with an alternator.

They are different because the fuel pumps that you use for an alternator and generator are different. The fuel pump for the alternator is angled to clear the larger diameter alternator.
