Is there something better?

I use one with the magnet and has a flat rubber seal.
My concern is that the rubber seal doesn't allow much torque.
I drained my oil last night and I could almost have taken the plug off by hand.
Got me worrying about it loosening up on the road.

Being a retired jet engine technician, my first thought was to drill a hole through the head and safety wire after it is torqued down.

I don't find a copper plug with a gasket.
My issue is the o-ring seal. I think a rubber seal will always allow loosening overtime.
Maybe I just need to replace the o-ring seal I have now with a nylon or copper washer/seal?

I don't have a safety wire (yet), but it seems like a good idea. I just looked at mine and the flange of the cover plate extends down far enough to drill a hole in it too. It's 2" away and can be drilled in a position to prevent the drain plug from turning. Just be sure to deburr the holes to keep from cutting the safety wire. I'm going to change my oil today (my first oil change since the engine was built. 600 miles!). I may safety wire the plug as I mentioned, then take pictures.
