Quick Release Steering Wheel

Postby Bill K » 01 Wed May, 2019 10:48 pm

Need a little help here: I'm interested in putting a quick release steering wheel in my Buggy. I have a Grant Steering Wheel that I sure would like to be able to continue using.

But, even at that I don't have the faintest idea of how they are installed or what to buy.

I'd appreciate any advice.

Hey Bill, Grant makes quick release hubs that will fit your steering wheel. The trick is to find the one that fits your spline pattern for your column. Also you will need one that will work with your turn signals and horn. The actual installation is that that difficult once you find the one you need. I would suggest that you contact Grant and they should be able to help you determine which one you need. Here is their info, Good Luck.

With the technology these days, you may want to ask if they have one with a tracking device. :D

You know Ken, based on your experience when cruising with FRIENDS a tracking device may be a really good thing to have. :D :D
