Believe it or not, the 67 cougars had an electric motor tht turned a shaft and operated three micro switches in sequence to make the light scroll to the left or the right. I'm not sure what other years did this as it was an option on the fancy models.

I was thinking what might look really cool is recesed 69 70 mustang tail lights but it would be hell to cut out of the fiberglass. but none the less really cool looking
Nope that was after it broke it was a crate motor from bergman
the culprit was oil starvation, caused a main bearing to size up,
they went back skimed it and ran that puppy to a tune of
10.5 sec in the quarter
not to hijack a thread, but didn't meyers have a bergmann engine that blew up on him, too? It was the first race he did with a manxter, I think... I heard that when Bernie himself made an engine, it rocked.. it went downhill when others did it for him..
