Wheels

How many of you stayed with the standard 4 bolt pattern VW wheel for your buggy?

Is anyone using Adapters to convert to the 5 Lug Wheel?

Or any of you using the the 5 lug rotors for your wheels?

Trying to figure out what to do. We ended up buying a Drum to Disc Conversion kit and we bought the 4 lug disc and 4 lug drum in the back.

Was told to sell those and get blank rotors and stay away form the adapaters for our buggy. Course we don't want spend thousands of dollars on rims either.

rotors and drums

You can probably buy just rotors that are studded in the 5 lug Chevy pattern from who you bought the original kit from and they should work out fine. Then on the rear just buy a set of drums setup for the Chevy pattern and then you have lots of wheel options to go with.

I have 5 lug studded discs at each corner.

Before switching to disc (set up for 5 lug wheels) I ran four lug drums and used adapters.
The adapters are fine for on road (not too much rallying though :D )
The adapters will push your wheels out about 3/4~1" so keep that in mind when you get rims. Might consider slightly more backspacing than without adapters.
