Brake Question

Postby Bill K » 22 Mon Jan, 2007 10:47 pm

I'm posting this for a buddy of mine.
He installed one of those hydraulic pedal kits which doesn't use the original VW master cylinder. He has disc brakes on the back and drums on the front. His brake light switch is mounted in line near the rear brakes.
The lines have been bled, and there are no fluid leaks. Yet, it continues to take pumping the pedal to get brakes, and it takes two pumps of the pedal to get a brake light.
He has even gotten a replacement hydraulic pedal kit, and still the same problem.
Any advice would be appreciated.

add a 2 lb residual pressure valve. Check on CNC website, they have them and the correct fittings to go back to the VW flared brake line fittings. David O can also get ya the 2 lb valves and probably the fittings you need. Check with David O!
