RoundUp Wrap Up

Postby GregR » 05 Mon Sep, 2011 10:53 pm

Thought I'd start a new string for pictures so we wouldn't take away from well deserved kudos to Bill.

Anyway, here's a link to about 200 photos (unedited and un-retouched)that Susan (mostly) and I took over the weekend. I hope to have some video available in a few days.

Thanks, enjoy http://photobucket.com/roundup5

Patrick, can you repost your shots to this string????

I just want to sincerely thank everyone for coming to the Roundup this year. I suppose it's only human to want to measure success in terms of numbers. And from that standpoint, I was extremely gratified to have 21 Buggies in the Parade, 23 Buggies on display at the Show & Tell, and 21 Buggies participating in our Cruise. That is a new high for the Roundup and fantastic numbers considering we are a Buggy-Only event.

But for me, the primary measure of success has always been, and will continue to be, the amount of enjoyment folks get from the Roundup. So, my hope is that each and every one of you had a good time (in spite of the oppressive heat), and once again made some lasting memories.

The Roundup will always remain: No Entry Fee, No Awards, and Buggies-Only, but I am already planning a few changes for next year. One for sure will be to start and stop the Cruise in Comfort since the majority of us stay in Comfort anyway.

Thank you again for your support of the Roundup and "Happy Trails Until We Meet Again."

Great pictures everyone! Thanks for sharing!

This was my first Buggy Roundup in Boerne/Comfort. Met lots of nice folks & had a great time! I drove my "soooooo cute car" that's "kinda like a go-cart" that I'm "so lucky to have" down there, taking mostly FM & county roads. Fun, fun, fun! (Yes, those were actual comments I received!)

Here's pictures of my trip:

Wow - thanks for sharing your adventure with us! I think we have a designated photographer candidate here, what do you guys think? Georganne, do you know what the actual wording on the headstone is?

Staggerwing, I'm glad you enjoyed my pictures. You never know what you're gonna see when you go down roads like I do! I always try to have my camera handy!

Here's a closer-up picture of it!

Dangit! I hope I wasn't the only one that wasn't able to make it out; that's funny! I bet you're on cloud nine completing a trip like that in your buggy - I'd be darn proud

Dan and I thoroughly enjoyed the pictures from Boerne. We hope you don't mind that we kept a few for ourselves. Georganne , you told a great story . Can't wait to see everyone again!
