Saturday Lunch At Majek Winery

Postby staggerwing » 23 Sun Aug, 2015 4:24 pm

Guys and Gals:

On our Saturday cruise for the Roundup, we will be having lunch At Majek Winery . They have a half mile (or less) gravel driveway that we have checked out, and it seems like it's okay for the buggys and it'll be a slow ride up to the place where we plan to park. We will be able to bring our own lunch or purchase cheese and sausage trays there (no outside alcohol please). Below are prices and they take cash, check, and credit card (except Discover)!

Cheese Sampler (serves two) - $6
Cheese & Sausage Sampler (serves two) - $8
4 wine Tasting - $5
Wines for purchase are $6 - $8 /glass and $18 - $24 / bottle
Water, Soda, Green Tea, Capri Sun Juice - $1

This is a nice little place with shaded seating and patio area outside and tables and chairs and air conditioning inside.
***IMPORTANT***
We need to get a head count for anyone thinking of purchasing any food trays so they can properly prepare for our arrival on Saturday.

I'm sure Delia will have a glass of wine, but we will be bringing our own lunch.
This sounds like a great stop. Can't wait.

Just spoke to Dave Wells. He and Christy will be providing their own lunch, so no winery tray needed for them.

One cheese and sausage platter and then someone not named Brian will most likely buy a few bottles(cases) of wine

Just 1 more week until the roundup. I am so, so, so ready for this. I hope everyone has a safe drive to the Roundup. This should be a lot of fun. I know a lot of planning has gone into this event. I want to say thanks for all the work. It all sounds like a special weekend. We are very blessed to have folks that will work so hard to prepare for these events.

Tick............Tock............Tick...................Tock............Friday is sure taking its sweet time getting here. It looks like it may be a couple of degrees cooler this year. Only in the low 90s. I am more than ready. I took the buggy out yesterday to be sure it was ready. The addition is still strong with this buggy. Ken, have you settled the issue of which buggy to take to the Roundup? It must be nice to have that problem.

I'm with you Bob... the clock this week has nearly stopped ticking.
The buggy selection for me is completely determined by Angela (daughter).
If she wants to go, we will take the 4 seater rail and drive it to Schulenburg.
If she decides not to go, I will hookup the trailer and tow the green Manx.
She has started college classes, so waiting to see her workload over the weekend looks.

Kind of driving dad nuts not knowing what to plan for. :?

Let me say, I posted those pictures in confidence. I really see no reason for this to be discussed during the weekend, especially in the presence of Delia. Right buddy's?
